Hello, and welcome to Silverton Falls!
This really is not much of a hike to be honest, just a nice walk in the park to a waterfall. The locals call it a 'hidden gem' so I was excited to see it but the fall itself was not very spectacular.
Sure, it was pretty, multiple-tiered and I liked that I was alone, but it was also rather small and not that exciting.
It is located near the Bow Valley Parkway and is on the way from Lake Louise to Banff so I decided take an hour detour could not hurt.
The trail itself passes through a forest and the terrain is flat and easy. Very family and pet friendly. There a couple switchbacks but nothing particularly challenging. I found some goldenberry bushes on the way and was tempted to try them. They are probably for the bears.
